West Midlands Health and Wellbeing Board: Voluntary and Community Sector and Healthwatch Forum

RAWM plays a role in bringing together these organisations to develop an information and communication channel and support the dissemination of information between Health and Wellbeing Board (HWBB) representatives; identify shared priorities and facilitate events and focus groups where wider discussions with the VCS are required; host forums for VCS reps group to provide peer support and access to experts. More specifically, to dleiver a workshop on engaging with HWBBs - focussing on exploring and setting agendas, influencing and advocacy, role of board members and exchange of messages and WHBB legislation; develop working on feeding soft data into the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment processes workshop. Liaise with CLGMW around convening joint Chairs and VCS representatives meeting. It was agreed that this Forum wold not operate in isolation to the West Midlands Healthwatch Network and that activity be fed into VCS assemblies, the LGA Commissioners Group and the respective Local Authority Health and Wellbeing Groups.
