The National Survey of Charities and Social Enterprises (NSCSE) will close on the 17th December 2010 – if your organisation has been invited to participate this will be the last chance to respond and put your views across.

The NSCSE is the largest ever survey of the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, and aims to build an accurate picture of the current operating environment for such organisations. This information will provide citizens, communities and all levels of government with the information needed to support the sector and continue to drive real change in local areas.

Since launching the survey in September we have heard from a wide range of voluntary and community organisations, charities and social enterprises. However, in order for results to truly represent the views of the sector at a local level it is vital that as many organisations as possible take part.

If your organisations has received the survey and not yet responded we would greatly value your response, either by returning the postal questionnaire or online at, by the 17th December 2010. This is a real opportunity to put your views across on issues affecting your organisation, communicate with local authority and their partners, and influence local and national policy.

Full results will be published and available to all in early 2011 at
