More than a million people in the UK have a learning disability and many more have difficulties with language and reading. So it is important to make sure information is accessible to all. is highlighting a key resource which guides groups through creating easy-to-read information.

Easy Words and Pictures

The How to Make Information Accessible (PDF 4.22Mb) guide is written by the National Equality Partnership and CHANGE, an organisation led by disabled people. It is partly written in Easy Words and Pictures, a way of presenting information that CHANGE has developed over the last 15 years. It contains tips on choosing the right images, how to lay out information and what organisations are required to do by law.
