Advertise your training courses for free across the West Midlands!

G:up and Midlands Youth are launching a new online training calendar which will be a free resource where you can advertise your training and find out about training that you/your staff can access, across the region.

As well as facilitating workforce development and information-sharing, this should also increase collaboration, helping you to fill the places on your training courses and find out about other organisations you can work with.

The new training calendar is being developed as part of the training and workforce development work stream within G:up’s three-year, Big Lottery-funded, G:XL project.

If you want to promote your training events and courses, please fill in the attached pro-forma [860 kB, DOC] for each training course you will be offering over the next 12 months. If the same course is being run over several dates, you can fill the form in once and provide a list of dates separately.

The first sentence of your “Brief description of the training”, should sum up the key points and value of your training. This first sentence will appear as a ‘teaser’ on the website and in G:up’s automatic email updates sent to all G:up members, so should encourage readers to open your event and read more! You can add more detail in the rest of your description, but remember that this information is going on a website, so should be short and punchy!

Please email completed forms to Alistair Fountain of Midlands Youth:

You can also receive free training to upload information yourself when the new G:up website goes live in November 2010.  For more information, contact Cath Errington of Midlands Youth on: 01926 450 156 or cath.errington@wayc.org.uk.
