RAWM alters its membership arrangements
RAWM alters its membership arrangements in the light of the difficult and changing environment within which the Voluntary & Community sectors are operating.
At its recent AGM, RAWM’s membership agreed to a new approach in response to the new economic climate and shifting environment. In the light of these changes, and to ensure that RAWM continues to provide the most appropriate support to the sector, membership will be simplified to include two categories of membership:
1 Those constituted voluntary and community sector organisations who are philanthropic and non-profit-making for the individual
2 Those constituted voluntary, public, private, local, sub-regional and national institutions, agencies and businesses who are appropriate, sympathetic and supportive to the interests of the wider Civil Society.
To reflect this new arrangement the makeup of RAWM’s Board has also been changed. It will now comprise of a maximum of 12 members made up of at least 60% of Voluntary and Community Sector organisations and up to 40% from other sectors appropriate, sympathetic and supportive to the interests of the wider Civil Society.
