Recruitment of new CE for Walsall Council for Voluntary Service

Walsall Council for Voluntary Services is beginning an exciting and challenging journey of change.

We are seeking an individual who shares our passion for inspiring and supporting social action to lead the redevelopment of our services which support the wide range of voluntary and community organisations operating across the borough.

High expectations of the sector’s role in supporting local priorities, coupled with reduced funding and an increased demand for services means support to adapt to new ways of working is critical for many organisations. Walsall CVS’s provision of relevant, high quality and accessible support will be vital to deliver this.

We are seeking an experienced, pro-active and committed individual to lead the organisation through this period of significant change, to build our new approaches to service delivery, establish our organisation as the central point of support for the local voluntary and community sector and secure our own future sustainability.

The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of the operational and policy context of the voluntary and community sector, the role of infrastructure support within this, the context of the local area and the commitment and experience to deliver a challenging programme of change.
