VCSSCamp 4 - the story

Mon, 03/08/2015

RAWM was delighted in June to attend and take part in the fourth VCSSCamp, the unconference for people from infrastructure organisations investigating digital and techy solutions to some of the problems we all face. RAWM was the main sponsor of the first VCSSCamp in 2013 and the unconference for our sector has gone from strength to strength, including an outing to Barnsley in 2014.

Blogposts from the latest event are available on the VCSSCamp blog here. The blogpost includes a link to a very useful Storify containing most of the coverage from Twitter with the #VCSSCamp hashtag and some of the fabulous photos taken on the day by Sasha Taylor, a co-founder of other unconferences including Blue Light Camp for people who work in and around emergency services (including the VCS) from across the UK and Open Data Camp for people interested in open data, also including the VCS.

RAWM recognises the importance of technology and social media in helping infrastructure organisations work smarter and looks forward to future VCSSCamps and the like.
