Call for evidence – Government Review of the Equality Duty

Mon, 25/03/2013

In March 2013 the Government issued a call for evidence to inform the review of the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED).

The Review was announced by the Home Secretary in May 2012 as part of the outcome of the Red Tape Challenge spotlight on equalities. The review sets out to establish whether the duty is operating as intended. The review is expected to be completed by June 2013, rather than the previous announced date of the end of April.

Evidence can be submitted until 19 April 2013 (new deadline).

The Equality and Diversity Forum (EDF) has produced a template and a background briefing to help organisations to engage with the Government’s Review of the public sector equality duty.
