Regional VCS Strategic EU mtg
RAWM and the NCVO European Funding Network are convening an invitation-only sector meeting
The Government, through BIS, is presenting its proposals for the structural funds in a series of road shows and the BIS Birmingham road show in November is the first of these. While there has been some indication of Government thinking on how the funds will be structured, the BIS road shows will be the first time these will be formally presented.
RAWM has been engaged, and is consulting with, local and national government departments, VCS organisations and wider Civil Society to explore how the sector is best able to fully utilise opportunities that could be offered through the new EU Structural Funds 2014 -2020.
The meeting on 4th February 2013 [new date] is an inaugural meeting for VCS organisations which have significant experience in delivering EU-funded projects, to discuss a strategic response and activities in response to the BIS road shows presentations.
RAWM wishes to engage with VCS organisations to identify processes and procedures that will enable the sector to respond to the announcements at the road shows as well as related announcements from the chancellor's Autumn Statement (5th December) and Lord Heseltine’s report 'No Stone Unturned'.
Further meetings will be arranged following consultation on the BIS proposals and related announcements. Contact RAWM's Policy Associate (Europe) Ted Ryan by email for further details.
