Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration of the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK – and it’s taking place from the 1-7 June 2013.
This year’s Volunteers’ Week focuses on saying ‘Thank You’ to the millions of volunteers who regularly contribute to society, and to recognise the way that organisations celebrate the work of volunteers across the UK.

As well as saying thank you to current volunteers, they will be chatting to people about the work that they do and how people can get involved. Come and see them between 11am and 1pm.
Birmingham Centre for Voluntary Action is running a Volunteer Marketplace for Volunteers' Week 2013 with over 40 organisations exhibiting! Just drop in or bring a group along Monday 3rd - Friday 7th June
Wolverhampton based charity Compton Hospice is saying ‘thank you’ to its team of volunteers in a special awards evening taking place on Wednesday 5th June at Penn Bowling Club.
The hospice, a charity which provides care for patients with life limiting illnesses and their families, relies on the contributions of over 800 volunteers who support the charity across a range department and service areas.
University College Birmingham have decided as a college, to offer all hair appointments FREE of charge on Wednesday 5th June in their training salons. They’re Doing Something Different for Volunteers’ Week!
