Volunteering in Care Homes - Midlands Learn and Share Event
Volunteering in Care Homes
Learn and Share Events
Second series: Successful volunteer recruitment and selection
Identifying successful volunteer recruitment and selection practices.
Each event will provide an update on the project’s evaluation findings and share case studies from that region.
The case studies will address the following questions:
- What factors underpin a successful volunteer role?
- What networks work best for advertising the volunteering opportunities?
- How do you select volunteers for these roles?
- How do you engage hard to reach volunteers, such as younger volunteers, to fulfil some of these roles?
Colleagues from a selection of NHS Trusts have been invited to share their experiences of engaging younger volunteers in patient facing roles.
Through discussions on the emerging themes, we will identify the volunteer recruitment and selection good practice to help guide others looking to recruit volunteers to these roles.
