Social Media surgery: Halesowen

Tue, 16/06/2015 - 10:00 - 12:00

Social Media Surgeries are completely free advice sessions for community and voluntary groups, clubs and societies.

Would you like to know how to use blogs, video clips, photo sharing sites, Facebook, Twitter or other free web tools to help your group? Do you want to use the web to communicate, campaign or collaborate online? We can help you do it easily and for free.

Come and meet people who understand all about social media and how you can get the most out of it. You might have specific questions that you’d like to ask, or you might just like a general introduction to what’s available. You don’t need any previous knowledge to take part, and there won’t be any lectures. We’ll talk to you one-to-one, listen to what you need and explain things clearly.

Free web tools can help you to organise activities, promote events, raise funds, collect feedback from your participants and keep a record of everything you do.

Our helpers are volunteers or staff from local organisations who know enough about using social media tools to help someone else. Perhaps when you have learnt something new you can come back and return the favour.

Social Media Surgeries take place regularly at different locations around Dudley borough. We are delighted to add Halesowen to our list of longer running surgeries in Dudley and Stourbridge. Coffee Cups have welcomed us freely, so please take the opportunity to buy their fantastic coffee and cakes to say thank you!

If you're coming along to offer some help don't forget your laptop!
