Opening up government: Birmingham workshop
How can government and public services in the UK be improved through greater openness? What reforms or initiatives can increase transparency, participation, and accountability in local and national governments? And what can this achieve for citizens and communities?
The UK Open Government Network is a group of organisations and individuals committed to making government work better for people through increased transparency, participation and accountability.
In partnership with Birmingham Voluntary Service Council we are hosting this workshop to:
- Discuss and develop ideas for open government reforms in Birmingham, the west midlands and throughout the UK
- Build the community of transparency, participation and accountability reformers in the UK
- Share the work of the Open Government Partnership and UK Open Government Civil Society Network
This workshop is free to attend, and open to anyone interested in learning more about and improving open government in the UK.
