Health and wellbeing social value conference
Keynote speaker announced for SEWM conference
Chris White, who originally tabled the Public Services (Social Value) Act as a Private Members’ Bill in Parliament, will address delegates at SEWM’s conference on the 4th April 2014 at Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.
The conference aims to bring together those organisations working in the social care, health and wellbeing sector together with Local Authorities, public health organisations and commissioners to discuss social value within local communities.
Following on from the first Anniversary of the Act, we are delighted that the West Midlands MP will be discussing social value, the important role of social enterprise and outline the opportunities the Act has unlocked for those in the sector.
The conference will be key in further raising the profile of social enterprise, its role and contribution within the local economy and the differences it can make to peoples’ health and wellbeing in communities.
This full-day conference will also include case studies, masterclasses, our Social Enterprise exhibition and Social Food Fair.
