Breakfast learning session – the road ahead and how to respond

Date:
Thu, 12/03/2015 - 10:00 - 12:30
Location:
Birmingham

Come and hear NCVO’s director of public policy, Karl Wilding, talk about the road ahead for the sector and consider how best to respond to these challenges.

About the session

Is there a future for the voluntary sector? Is it too reactive to government policy? How is it coping in the post-recession era?

Karl Wilding will lead this highly interactive session which will provide an opportunity to meet and discuss the challenges with other voluntary sector leaders.

We will look at the future in terms of:

  • Politics and policy
  • Economics and resources
  • Social attitudes and reputation
  • Technology and disruption
  • Identity

What issues will they raise for your organisation? In which areas will you need to think and work differently to sustain your organisation in the future?

The event will be chaired by Nigel Kippax, Head of Consulting at NCVO.
